Idaho Student Walkout & Education Rally -February 16, 2017

Around 600 students from schools ranging from Jr. High to College came out on February 16, 2017 to show there disapproval for the new Secretary of Educations divisive ideas such as schools vouchers and charter schools. The day consisted of five quick speeches from High School and College students and almost and hour and half of chanting.

Women's MArch on Idaho - January 21, 2017

Over 7,000 Idahoans came out on January 21, 2017 to march along side the National Women's March in Washington DC. The rally consisted of amazing live performers like Belinda Bowler, Steve Etton, and Lisa Luna Stravers. It also consisted of five amazing speakers that got the crowd motivated and inspired to create positive change. 

People for Unity rally - november 12, 2016

On November 12, 2016 Nora Harren and Colette Raptosh planned a rally that brought hundreds together only four days after the election. Over 500 people gathered on the Capital steps to hear Colette, Nora and five speakers talk about unity, peace, our hopes and dreams for the new presidency and to inspire the audience to get involved in their community.  


Postcard writing party - January 31, 2017

On January 31, 2017 we had over 100 people come to the Shangri-La Tea Room to write letters to their Senators! This was part of the National Women's March Campaign called 10 Actions, 100 Days. This was the first action of many.


Support for Kibrom’s Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant -July 22, 2017

On July 22 2017 over 200 people showed up to support Kibrom’s Ethiopian & Eritrean Restaurant. People for Unity wanted to support them and show the love from Boise after facing backlash and vandalism from other Idaho communities.


Women’s March on Idaho -2018

On January 21st 2018, Idahoans showed that the march for equity and equal opportunity is far from over but that their spirts are far from down. There were about 5,000 people in attendance and we showed unity in our numbers. Together we displayed the true impact of our efforts.


Enough is Enough Student Walkout-2018

Over 3,000 students throughout Idaho came together on March 14, 2018 to show that we will not be silenced. We walked out in unity with those who had lost their lives during school shootings to showcase what true unanimity can do. By walking throughout the capitol, we made evident the need for true change in a time of pain and hurt in our nation. We are the future and we are the present.
